The right to work and legal status — two consecutive documents, on time
From 1 March 2026, earning income in Georgia without the right to work is a violation, and the fines here run into thousands of lari. Those who were working before the reform must act in time until 1 January 2027. The main trap is not in the permit itself, but in what happens after eir issuance to file a residence permit application is ten days. If you miss it, you start from scratch and pay both fees again.
