I’m self-employed

Earning legally while living in Georgia

Running your own business under a simplified tax regime — the reason most people move to Georgia. We put it together in full: registration, tax status, right to work and a bank account. And we calculate honestly when the simplified tax regime will end: it applies up to a turnover of 500,000 GEL per year, while the VAT obligation kicks in much earlier — once turnover reaches 100,000 GEL in any twelve consecutive months.

Who it suits. For freelancers, remote workers, and those running their own business.

What is included

  • We register you as a sole trader
  • We register small business status — a 1% rate on turnover
  • We obtain the right to work
  • We accompany you to the bank; if refused, we try a second one
  • We calculate your thresholds: when the simplified tax regime ends and when VAT kicks in

What the package does not include

Paid separately and directly, with no markup from us.

  • The bank decides: the bank opens the account on its own terms and may refuse — we prepare the package and go with you
  • Government fees: registration from 26 GEL, permit from 200 GEL
  • Accounting support is a subscription — 150 GEL per month
  • A promise that an account will be opened: banks refuse, and no one can guarantee it
Time remaining until January 1, 2027: 67 days

From 1 March 2026, earning income in Georgia without the right to work is a violation, and the fines here run into thousands of lari. Those who were working before the reform must act in time until 1 January 2027. The trap is not in the permit itself: after it is issued, the application o the residence permit remains ten days. Market sells these two documents separately, and almost no one mentions the ten days does not write — we track both deadlines.
