Translator in Paris
France is the only country in our lineup where we don’t operate relocation. We do one thing here: we place someone right beside you, who speaks both languages and accompanies you to the meeting. To the prefecture, the doctor, the notary, the bank, to negotiations, to the registry office to register the marriage.
Russian, French, English, Turkish — with switching between languages within a single meeting. This is rare and decisive at an appointment: in a French institution the conversation switches to English more often than you’d expect, and an interpreter ’French only’ goes quiet at that point.
How the price is calculated
The listed price is the final price. It has two parts, and we show both: the interpreter’s work — you pay him directly at the meeting — and our commission for finding the contractor, vetting them, and keeping your time. A doctor’s appointment costs €95: €80 to the interpreter, €15 from us. Nothing extra will appear when you pay. Minimum order is two hours: getting around Paris takes around 45 minutes each way, and an hour of work costs interpreter two and a half hours of their time. Each additional hour — 40 € and it goes entirely to them; from four hours onward, a half-day rate applies for €160 — cheaper than buying the same hours individually. Our €15 fixed: one price for the order, regardless of how many hours it no matter how long it lasts.
If the meeting fell through
Cancelled more than 24 hours in advance — we refund everything, including our part. If it didn’t arrive within 24 hours — the money are non-refundable and go to the interpreter for the reserved slot time: that day is already lost to him.
SVOY initial consultation — 80 €, is applied toward the cost of the order. In France, this is a conversation about exactly what we do here: which interpreter you need at your appointment, how many hours plan what to bring and what to expect in the office. Relocation, residence permits, and document guidance are not included — that’s in France we do not handle, and if the question is about them, we will say this before payment, not after.
What we don’t do in France. Certified translation of documents — traduction assermentée. This is a separate status, and having a translation certified for a court or prefecture or consulate our interpreter cannot provide: such a document will will not be accepted. There is no simultaneous interpretation booth either — the work goes sequentially, phrase by phrase. If you need exactly notarization, please say so upfront: we will decline the order rather than so that you find out about it at the window.

- Breaking down the payment structure: where the money will come fromthe most common hidden reason things “don’t work out”: status set up, but the payment fails and the account is never opened. We work through it until before the bank refuses — where does your enrollment, which status in your country removes the restriction, and what the bank will ask to see. Opening an account, however, is something nobody does not promise: the decision rests with the bank290 $
