Renewing status

Years two and three are exactly when people usually lose track of the clock

In Serbia, renewal is not a window-display afterthought — it is the core product: it is what people actually buy a second and third time, and it’s what ultimately leads to permanent residence. You must apply before the expiry of current status: an overstay here is not a fine, but a reset of three years.

Who it suits. For those who already have status and are approaching renewal or a change of basis.

What is included

  • We check whether the current basis will last until renewal
  • We prepare and submit the full set of documents
  • We align your dates so no gap appears in your continuity of residence
  • We change your basis when the current one no longer holds up
  • We accompany you to the MUP office
  • Calculating time remaining until eligibility for permanent residence

What the package does not include

Paid separately and directly, with no markup from us.

  • Government fees ~230 € per person: 22,700 dinars for the status, filing fee, biometrics, and ID card. Paid directly via plati.euprava.gov.rs
  • Health insurance
  • Tax and reporting debts from a sole proprietorship — these must be settled before filing
€850 once — and ~€266 every month for the next three years

A business-based residence permit costs €850 to set up. After that, he basis must be maintained: a flat-rate tax of ~€116 per month, an accountant ~100 €, registered address ~50 €. Over three years until permanent residency eligibility, that is ~9,600 € — four times the cost of the paperwork itself. We consider this the estimate before payment, because it is what determines whether you will make it to passport: a dissolved sole proprietorship resets continuity, and the three years start over from scratch. We give you the exact lump-sum fee at the consultation — it depends on the activity code and region.

A residence permit through a sole proprietorship costs €850 once and ~€266 per month for the following three years: lump-sum tax ~116 €, accountant ~100 €, registered address ~50 €. That’s ~9,600 € until permanent residence eligibility. We give you the second figure before payment — because it’s the one that determines whether you’ll make it to the passport.
