Your own company in Hong Kong
Turnkey registration — and, if needed, the right status for your business
A company in Hong Kong is registered in one to five business days and entirely remotely. Then comes what people usually don’t talk about: a resident secretary required by law, audit is mandatory for all — including dormant and zero-activity companies companies — while a bank account is opened by the bank, and that takes 4–8 weeks without guarantees. We list all annual costs before you pay a thing for registration.
Who it suits. For those running international trade or services and looking for a territorial tax. For those who need a dollar account without currency controls. And for those who want to obtain status through their own business.

Russian nationals enter Hong Kong visa-free for 14 days. Entry is free — and that is exactly where people lose money. A long-term visa is processed before entry: a tourist already in Hong Kong cannot change their status on the spot. Coming for a scouting trip and applying from abroad won’t work, and leaving for a day trip to a neighbouring city and back — the border officer notices and asks questions. We work out this calendar before you buy your first ticket.
The second thing the market doesn’t tell you: permanent status in Hong Kong is granted after seven years of continuous ordinary residence, and that period resets easy. Time spent as a tourist does not count, time as a dependent or student — goes on, and any gap between visas resets the time already served. The Talent Visa for 24 months does not renew itself: to renew, you must show employment or your own business, and someone who arrives and doesn’t settle loses two years. Proving seven years will require lease agreements, tax files and bank statements that are impossible to find by year seven — they need to be collected from the start, not recalled at the end.
A Hong Kong resident secretary is required under the Companies Ordinance. This is an annual expense from the second year onward, not a first-year bonus.
An audit is mandatory for all companies, including dormant and zero-activity ones. The first tax return is filed approximately 18 months after registration, then annually; documents are kept for seven years.
A business registration certificate valid for three years costs 6,170 HKD and saves 880 HKD compared to three annual renewals. From April 1 2026, the annual certificate rose from 2,200 to 2,350 HKD, and the PWIF fee — 150 HKD — was reintroduced.
We cannot guarantee a bank account will be opened: the decision rests with the bank, and the timeline 4–8 weeks. We prepare the full package and guide you through the process, but we cannot promise we cannot guarantee the bank’s outcome.
⚠️ We speak plainly about banking because it is the main challenge in this country for a Russian citizen. Owning a Hong Kong company and obtaining status r a Russian citizen it is possible: Hong Kong has not joined Western sanctions, and there is no ban. But the bank is a different story. International banks here they apply their own compliance to avoid losing access o US and EU markets: a Russian passport is not on simplified-entry lists opening, remotely for a new client, an account in 2026 is practically do not open accounts without a personal visit, and any bank will examine incoming transfers from Russia Hong Kong under a microscope. The key that changes everything — the HKID: holder of a Hong Kong identity card opens an account as a resident, not as a foreigner with a passport. That is why we in the right order — status and HKID first, then the bank — and we do not promise an account to those who do not yet have status.
⚠️ Funds from Russia are a separate matter, and it needs to be resolved before registration, not after. Hong Kong has not imposed sanctions, but banks here they are international: HSBC and Hang Seng have wound down corporate transfers to and from Russia; others apply their own compliance due to the risk of secondary sanctions. A company that has transfers come from Russia, it faces more scrutiny than any other. In the consultation we address this first: where the money will come from and which bank or payment service will actually work with your setup.
Why the price is fixed, not ’from’. Registering a private company in Hong Kong standardised: document set, filing, and first-year address with a secretary are the same for everyone, which is why the market publishes one number. Only four things change the price, and all of them are stated in figures on this page: number of members, member — legal entity, a ready-made company instead of a new one, and a nominee director. Licensed activities are a separate matter — that is where things change not the price, but the work itself.
The exact amount for your situation is stated before we begin and confirmed in writing in the agreement. If it changes, you will be informed before payment, not after.

Standard setup: one or two participants — natural persons, one type of activity without a licence. The name, founding documents, submission, certificates, address and resident secretary for the first year, registries, tax registration, and account support.
for a standard company; government fees HKD 3,895 (approx. 500 $) — separately
We do not hide this behind ’from’ pricing or recalculate after the call. Each participant beyond two — plus $150 for verification. Shareholder or director — legal entity — plus $450 for corporate documents. A ready-made company instead of a new one — add $240. Nominal resident director — from $1,200 per year. Licensed activities are calculated separately.
the figures are listed above — calculate yours before the call
Everything in ’Company Turnkey’ plus filing for status under your own business and managed through to receipt of the HKID.
- We prepare and submit the application under the self-employment scheme
- We handle correspondence with the Immigration Department
- We accompany you through to receiving your HKID
Prices are in US dollars and are all-inclusive — nothing is added on top. Hong Kong government fees are paid separately and directly to the authority: visa or extension — 230 HKD (approx. $30), initial HKID card — free. There is no VAT in Hong Kong. SVOY initial consultation — 100 $, credited in the cost of support — the same as for Mexico and Argentina. It is paid from the first minute: a breakdown of the Chilean case — these are two dates that must align, a category matching your income and an honest answer on whether you can make it in time. We hand over the roadmap with a schedule and budget, even if the conclusion is negative.
