From 1 March 2026, earning income in Georgia without the right to work is a violation, and the fines here run into thousands of lari. Those who were working before the reform must act in time until 1 January 2027. The trap is not in the permit itself: after it is issued, the application o the residence permit remains ten days. Market sells these two documents separately, and almost no one mentions the ten days does not write — we track both deadlines.

Prices are in Georgian lari; the dollar figure is for reference. Government fees are paid separately and directly. 18% VAT does not apply to these services: it only applies once turnover exceeds 100,000 GEL within a 12-month period.
