I’m heading to the US: applying for a B1/B2 visa
From an honest assessment of your chances to the day of the interview
A visa is decided not by a folder of documents, but by two things: the trail already on record o you in US databases, and how you answer at the interview. Date in I-94, not in the visa. A 214(b) refusal from five years ago. Expired per month the days that have already started counting as unlawful presence. We start with an assessment of your chances and speak plainly about whether it is worth applying now, and then we handle the entire submission through to the day you walk out of the consulate.
Who it suits. For those applying for the first time and not wanting to be turned down on the very first attempt. For those who have already had a refusal or an overstay. For families with children. And for those who is unsure whether to apply at all this year.
What is included
- We pull your footprint in the system: I-94 and actual days of presence, past refusals under 214(b), accumulated unlawful presence and proximity to 3- and 10-year bans, the fate of the old green card, if there was one
- We assess your chances before you pay to apply: the purpose of your trip, visa history, ties to home, risks of a 214(b) denial
- We find the right consulate: Russian nationals apply in Warsaw or Astana, and the B1/B2 queue in Astana has reached up to two years
- We complete the DS-160 entirely ourselves, rather than reviewing one you have already filled in
- We prepare you for the interview: questions, stress scenarios, answer logic, common officer traps, and a full rehearsal
- We calculate the full budget honestly: our fee, the consular fee, the flight to the post, and accommodation during the application
- If applying now doesn’t make sense — we say so before payment, not after a refusal
What the package does not include
Paid separately and directly, with no markup from us.
- Travel to the consular post and accommodation during the application period: the application is submitted abroad, and that is a separate budget item.
- Approval guarantees: a 214(b) refusal cannot be appealed, and no one has the right to promise a visa
- Immigration visas, green cards, and change of status: a different service with a different specialist — see the ’Staying Long-Term’ package
- Apostille and certificates in Russia: third-party fees, we only advise on what to obtain
On January 21, 2026, the State Department suspended the issuance of immigration visas to citizens of 75 countries, and Russia is on that list. Applications accept applications, schedule and conduct interviews — but do not issue the visa. Non-immigrant visas (B1/B2, F-1, O-1, L-1) are not affected by the pause. That means the path the market keeps selling — ’apply and wait’ consulate» — it now fails to go through to the end, no matter how flawless the matter. Exactly two workarounds exist: a status change within the US if you are already in the country on a valid status, and a second passport from a country not on the list. We check both and tell you which applies to you — before you commit to anything you will pay. No end date has been set for the pause, so we keep your passport we check against the current list as of the date of your enquiry.
The interview date is set by the consulate, not by us. Standard queue applies long, and there is only one way to influence it: secure a slot, that became available after someone else’s cancellation — it opens up for just a few minutes. This is handled by the bot at the ’Visa with Concierge’ tier. The specific date it makes no promises: no one knows which slot you’ll get until the appointment is booked. But it turns out earlier than through the standard process.

Applications are accepted, interviews scheduled and conducted — the visa is not issued in person. Non-immigrant visas (B1/B2, F-1, O-1, L-1) are unaffected by the pause. The market continues to sell ’green card through consulate” without mentioning that no visa will be issued at the end. Two workarounds exist: changing the status within the US and a second passport from a country not on the list — we verify both and we tell you which one is yours.
In the USA, only a licensed attorney may represent a person before USCIS for compensation, licensed in the state, or an accredited representative of the Ministry of Justice. Everything else constitutes unauthorized practice of immigration law, which carries its own separate article. That is why we honestly divide the work: analysis, documents, translations, the evidence folder and the landing are on us; the USCIS application is signed by licensed professional, and you know their name from day one.

Not a standalone service — it’s the first step of the package. 60–90 minutes: we go through your travel purpose, visa history, ties to your home country, and refusal risks, assess your chances, and build a strategy. The outcome is a suitable visa type and a straight answer — apply now or wait.
