Study grants in Georgia
Georgia wins not on scholarship size but on entry cost: tuition here is significantly cheaper than in Europe, so it usually makes more sense to calculate the full cost of a program — tuition plus living expenses — rather than chasing a grant.
How education financing works here
State funding is primarily aimed at citizens and allocated on the basis of national exam results. For foreigners, the main sources are university-specific discounts and scholarships, as well as European exchange programmes in which Georgian universities participate as partners.
English and medicine
A significant share of international students come for English-language medical programs — a distinct market with its own transcript and entrance exam requirements. A degree from such a university requires a separate recognition check in the country where you plan to work.
What to prepare in advance
A diploma with recognition, plus an international language certificate for English-language programs. Studying provides grounds for a residence permit, but the status must be arranged separately and in advance.
