Study grants in Mexico
Mexico funds international students through its international cooperation programme, which is open to citizens of partner countries and covers tuition along with a living stipend.
How education financing works here
The state programme operates through an international cooperation agency and is allocated by country — the list of participating nations and quotas are reviewed periodically. A separate national research council supports doctoral studies, but most of its programmes are designed for citizens and permanent residents. Universities offer their own discounts, particularly private ones.
About document recognition
School-leaving certificates and degrees go through recognition within the education system: enrollment is impossible without this procedure. Documents require an apostille and a certified translation, and this is the longest stage of preparation.
Study as a basis for residency
Study provides its own basis for temporary residency, and the financial thresholds are noticeably lower than on the standard income route. For some families, this turns out to be the most accessible way into the country.
