Translator for an official meeting
215 €
half a day; a full day — 355 €. Of which 200 € to the interpreter, 15 € — commission SVOY. Russian ↔ French and Russian ↔ English. International and intercultural format: translation that accounts for professional and social context
Prices are in euros and are all-inclusive. Each package has two parts, and we we make clear: the interpreter’s fee is paid by you directly to them at the meeting — and our fee for finding the service provider, we have checked it and are holding the slot for you. A doctor’s appointment costs 95 €: 80 € for the interpreter, 15 € for us. Minimum order — two hours, and this is not greed: a trip across Paris takes about 45 minutes each way; one hour of work costs the interpreter two and a half hours of time. Each additional hour is 40 €, and they go entirely to him; from four hours covers half a day for 160 €, which is cheaper than the same hours sold individually: a package is always better value than hourly billing. Our fee is a flat €15 per order, regardless of how many hours however long it lasts: we charge for the search and reservation, not as a percentage of turnover. Nothing beyond what’s shown in the listing will appear at checkout. ⚠️ Sworn document translation (traduction assermentée) — a separate matter service, and we don’t provide it.
SVOY initial consultation — 80 €, credited toward the cost support. All services and packages in France
How it works in France
The case stays with us: the service is delivered at the hour that works for you a meeting is scheduled, and it takes place where it is scheduled. The interpreter travels to o you — to the prefecture, OFII, doctor’s office, notary, bank, to the municipal office. The work proceeds step by step: the other party says a phrase, interpreter translates it for you, you respond, they translate back. That’s why the meeting takes about twice as long as usual — this is perfectly normal and this needs to be factored into the timeline.
What we need from you to get started
- Date and time of the meeting — without them there is nothing to book
- Address or facility: this determines whether it is a Paris-rate call or an out-of-area visit
- The appointment in a nutshell: a gynaecology visit and a supply negotiation require very different preparation.
- Appointment reference number or specialist’s name, if available
- Documents you will need to read on site — better to send them in advance
Where things most often go wrong
- —The person was waiting for a sworn translation, but what they needed was an oral one: certifying a document for court, prefecture, or consulate our translator cannot, this is a separate status (traducteur assermenté)
- —Appointments are booked ’roughly’: appointments at the prefecture rarely start on time, and an hour booked too tightly ends in the middle of a conversation
- —Orders are placed the evening before for the following morning — available slots for tomorrow usually no longer available, and the urgent format follows different rules
- —They forget that conversations at government offices often switch to English: interpreter ’French only’ goes quiet at this point
The only country in the network where we do not handle relocations or process documents. In France, exactly one thing is for sale — a person by your side at the meeting. Everything else regarding France we honestly do not handle.
Fees, processing times, and institutional requirements change several times per year, which is why they are not listed here: we verify and quote them as of the date of submission.
