How it works in Cyprus
Foreign nationals’ cases are handled by the migration authority. The Cypriot fork and strict: for EU citizens it is registration under the right of residence; for everyone else — ermit that must be obtained and renewed. Separate schemes exist for employees of international companies — they have their own procedure and their own application timelines.
What we need from you to get started
- International passport and clarity on whether you hold an EU passport
- Grounds: employment, company, study, income, or family
- Health insurance and proof of accommodation on the island
- Criminal record check with apostille
Where things most often go wrong
- —You entered and decided to handle registration at your leisure: the application must be submitted within a limited window after entry, and missing it ruins everything
