How it works in Chile
Schools are divided into public, subsidized, and private; enrollment is through a centralised system for public schools and directly for private ones. Foreign educational documents are recognized by the Ministry of Education. The academic year runs from March to December.
What we need from you to get started
- Report cards and school certificate with apostille and translation
- Child’s RUT or filed case
- Understanding that the academic year here begins in March
Where things most often go wrong
- —Arrived in September expecting a start-of-year intake
- —Missed the centralized enrollment window for public schools
- —Didn’t have documents recognised in advance and lost the year group
Fees, processing times, and institutional requirements change several times per year, which is why they are not listed here: we verify and quote them as of the date of submission.
