You’re at the source, so the focus is on in-person payment and logistics within the CIS:

• paying the factory — locally in RMB (yuan); funds are brought into China via USDT→yuan and international transfers;
• shipping to Russia and CIS — via cargo consolidators (’fast cargo’) or a ’white’ container with full customs clearance; each option has its own risks and timelines;
• check weight, volume, and the real cost of shipping — this is where budgets most commonly go off track.

Guangzhou markets and factories

• wholesale markets: Baiyun (leather goods, bags), Zhanxi (footwear), Shahe/Shisanhang (clothing), Yide Lu (small goods, toys, stationery); Foshan and Dongguan factories are 1–1.5 hours away. Yiwu market is not nearby — it’s in Zhejiang province, ~1,300 km, about 7 hours by high-speed rail or 2 hours by air (better reached from Shanghai);
• Canton Fair (April and October) — direct access to manufacturers;
• Guangdong factories — from textiles to home appliances.

Inspection and quality control

• verify the business licence and confirm actual production (not a trading company);
• sample → pre-shipment inspection (QC) at the warehouse before dispatch;
• staged payment 30/70; at markets — with a fapiao.

Logistics to CIS countries

• air cargo — fast and costly; road/rail — the best balance; sea to Vladivostok/Novorossiysk — cheap but slow;
• consolidating small orders at a Guangzhou warehouse noticeably reduces shipping costs.

How not to lose money

• calculate the landed cost including delivery and customs clearance, not just the unit price;
• never pay 100% upfront to an unfamiliar factory;
• the safer route is having your own person in Guangzhou who will verify, consolidate, and ship the order on a turnkey basis.
