Breaking down the payment structure: where the money will come from
290 $
the most common hidden reason things “don’t work out”: status set up, but the payment fails and the account is never opened. We work through it until before the bank refuses — where does your enrollment, which status in your country removes the restriction, and what the bank will ask to see. Opening an account, however, is something nobody does not promise: the decision rests with the bank
Prices are in US dollars and are all-inclusive — nothing is added on top; this is our partner’s rate in Panama. The government fee is paid directly to the state and is not included in the price: $10,000 for the primary applicant, $2,000 for each family member aged 12 and over, and $1,000 for each child under 12. The cost of the property itself is paid to the seller. The Panamanian balboa is pegged to the dollar one-to-one, so no conversion is needed.

How it works in Panama
Banks open accounts, but the vetting process is among the strictest in the region: they look at the source of funds, your profession, and your ties to the country. The US dollar is in circulation. A company is registered through the registry, and its annual maintenance.
What we need from you to get started
- Passport, status, or submitted case
- Reference and banking letters from your previous bank
- Description of activities and origin of funds
Where things most often go wrong
- —Went to the bank without recommendation letters — they take these seriously here
- —Registered the company without budgeting for annual fees and an agent
- —Assumed that a Panama company alone confers status
Fees, processing times, and institutional requirements change several times per year, which is why they are not listed here: we verify and quote them as of the date of submission.
