How it works in China
Banks open accounts by passport and residence permit, everything is linked o a verified name and phone number. Withdrawal of funds abroad is regulated currency regulations and annual limits. A company with foreign participation is registered through a separate procedure.
What we need from you to get started
- Passport and status
- Local phone number
- Understanding what you will do with the money: spend it locally or transfer it out
Where things most often go wrong
- —Opened an account but didn’t connect it to payment services — cash is almost never used in China
- —Didn’t account for currency withdrawal restrictions and planned as if it were Europe
- —Worked for local clients without formal registration
Fees, processing times, and institutional requirements change several times per year, which is why they are not listed here: we verify and quote them as of the date of submission.
